Working Group Determinants of International Health (Be-cause Health) and nonprofitinpandemic.eu present
LEARNING SESSION: EUROPEANCITIZENS' INITIATIVE FOR GLOBALACCESS TO COVID-19 VACCINES
JANUARY 19
14.00-15.30 CET
REGISTER VIA ZOOM
Recent announcements of demonstrated efficacy in Covid-19 vaccine candidates and the start of immunization campaigns in a number of countries have spurred hope that the ned of this pandemic is in sight. But, despite claims by world leaders to make the vaccine a global public good, we are nowhere near the promise of universal, freely available Covid-19 vaccines or a people's vaccine.
How can civil society actors ens European Citizens contribute to making Covid-19 vaccines global public goods ?
What is the state of play of international proposals on access to Covid-19 pharmaceuticals ?
What has been the role of the European Commission ?
During this learning session we will give members of the European Citizens' Initiative 'Right to Cure' and other Civil Society Actors concerned with equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines the opportunity to exchange with international experts.
